Multiple Gods in Hinduism – Discussion  and Nama.

Date: Mar 23, 2008
Time: 4:30pm – 5:30pm
Topic: Mahamantra kirtan and satsang
Venue: Residence of Smt Priya Subramanian, Seattle, WA
Participants: Mr and Mrs Raj, their daughter Ashmita, Mr and Mrs Raja, Ms. Ramya, Ms. Nithya, Mr and Mrs Narayanaswamy, Dr. Baghyanathan, Smt Priya Subramanian, her husband and their children Nrithi and Advaith.

The satsang kicked off with Mahamantra kirtan followed by chanting of Kandha Sashti Kavacham. Nrithi and Advaith then recited ‘Hey Govinda’ and ‘Shringaara Krishna’ kirtans in praise of Lord Krishna. This was followed by a spiritual discussion on ‘Why are there so many Gods in Hinduism?’. This being one of the questions posted in Namadwaar QA forum to Sri Swamiji, all the devotees actively participated in the discussion. Dr. Bhagyanathan wrapped up the discussion with a nice summary based on points from Sri Swamiji’s discourses. The satsang concluded with another session of Nama chanting after which Neivedhyam was done and Prasad was distributed.
