By the Divine Grace of Guru Maharaj, His Holiness Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji, Guru Poornima was celebrated across North America in a grand manner.
A North America-wide online satsang was conducted on July 23rd evening, which was attended by more than 500 devotees from across 20 cities in North America.
Sri Ramanujamji presided over this North America wide satsang and shared a beautiful prayer filled with gratitude to the lineage of Gurus, starting with the father of our Santana Dharma, Sri Veda Vyasa Bhagavan, and culminating in the praise of our own Guru, Sri Swamiji.
During this satsang, devotees also recited verses from Gopika Geetham in Bhagavatam, Bhakti Yoga from Srimad Bhagavad Gita, and Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam. Special Madhurageethams on the Guru was sung by satsang members and finally the prayer satsang concluded with Harathi across all US Namadwaars simultaneously.
During that week and weekend, all regional satsangs celebrated Guru Poornima locally also, with Akhanda Mahamantra chanting, doing the parayana of Srimad Bhagavata Parayanam, by singing Madhurageetham, taking procession of the Guru Paduka, etc. A video compilation of all the regional celebrations was also shared during the nationwide satsang.
