It seemed that the topic was very aptly chosen for a satsang on the Saturday of the month of Purattasi. Sri Ramuji began the speech when Ashland Perumal was getting dressed after the thirumanjanam to bless the devotees with His darshan. Sri Ramuji spoke on the importance of Purattasi Saturday and the events leading to the incarnation of Perumal on to Bhooloka (earth). Ramuji highlighted the extent of Lord Venkateswara’s mercy because He has left His abode that is filled with all goodness to come down to earth and live amongst self centered humans so He can show them the path to liberation which is verily Namakirtan in this Kaliyuga.
Many quotes from Divya Prabandham, Thirumalai and other works of Azhwars were quoted to indicate the compassion and greatness of Lord Venkateswara. Ramujis narration of the incidents from the lives of devotees like Badrachala Ramadas and other saints reiterated the path of Namakirtan in Kaliyuga. He also established through a small tale, that we should always nourish the desire to invite Perumal into our heart. If we invite God to live within us, we will be blessed with everything that is good for us.
The speech concluded with the bunch of audience chanting Mahamantra. Mr. Rajagopalan Raghavan, Mrs. Ragini Krishnamurthy and Mrs. Solai Annamalai were very helpful in organizing the function.
