Jacksonville GOD Satsang and Gopa Kuteeram celebrated Sri Swamiji’s Jayanthi with an annual Utsavam-Utsaaham event on Sunday, November 10, 2018 at Greenland Pines Elementary. This was the second Utsavam-Utsaaham event in Jacksonville. With Sri Swamiji’s blessings, over 75 children participated in various art forms including, dance, skit, Harikatha and music. The theme for this year was Kshethra Yathra upon which all the programs were based. The event started off with Mahamanthra chanting by Gopa Kuteeram children, a welcome dance for the song Swaagatham Krishna, by Gopa Kuteertam Gopikas and a welcome to Sri Swamiji with the Mathurapurivaasaa Muralidhara. This was then followed by customary Answers & Beyond interlude where GK children enacted the questions and answers and educated the audience with the teachings of Sri Swamiji. The two skits by Jacksonville Gopa Kuteeram children were based on Arjuna’s Kshethra Yathra with the Episode 1 depicting the Vivaaham of Arjuna with Chithraangadha and the second Episode portraying vividly, Subadhra Kalyanam. Harikatha by Gopa Kuteeram Gopikas, took the audience through the Dhivya Desams of Badrinath, Salagram, Ahobilam, Kumbakonam, Thiruvananthapuram and Vaikuntam. A musical tribute to Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvathi, Lord Ganesha and Lord Subramanya was performed by children from a local music school. As a finale, everyone were transported to Badhrachalam with a dance tribute to Lord Rama for Sri Ramadasu keerthanas. All the children and choreographers were given a goodie bag and certificate. After a full 3 hour program we were all treated to pakora, pizza and tea, thanks to our restaurant sponsors. Prayers to Sri Swamiji that HE blesses all the participants, sponsors and most importantly all our volunteers (Gopa Kuteeram parents) that made the Utsaaham-Utsaaham event possible.
