Janmashtami Celebration by Virginia GOD Chapter

With the immense blessings of our Guru maharaj and the divine couple Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Premika Varada Takurji, Virginia Namadwaar celebrated Janmashtami from August 1st to 14th.
We had Srimad Bhagavata parayanam of 18000 slokas from 1st August to 9th August via zoom. On 9th August we had the poorthi. After the parayanam, devotees recited Vishnusahasranama, 12th chapter of Srimad Bhagavat Gita. Bhagavata Ashtothram was recited. The devotees also sang Madhura Gitams. The satsang concluded with Kaliyayum Bali Kollum kirtan and Harathi.
Srimad bagawatham prathyaksha krishna eva hi. Over 40 devotees eagerly participated in the parayanam for all the nine days and felt blessed.
Janmashtami Utsav continued from August 11th to 14th online.
On 11th Janmashtami day, the satsang started with Maha mantra keerthan. Then Avathara slokas from Srimad Bhagavatam was recited. Then Guru, Krishna and Lakshmi Ashtothrams were recited. Then the devotees rendered many Madhura Gitams on Guru, Nama mahima, Krishna and Radha. Krishna Avathara keerthan were also sung. This was followed by Anjaneyar kirtans. Prarthana geethams were rendered with a prayer to be blessed with more and more satsangs. The satsang concluded with Kaliyayum bali kollum kirtan and harathi.
On 12th to 14th the devotees rendered many Madhura gitams pertaining to the Dasama Skandham and Radha Devi.
On 15 th August the online satsang started with Maha mantra keerthan. The Divine couple were decorated with flowers and jewels and seated in the nikunjam for their wedding. Starting from Thodayamangalam many Madhura gitams on Guru,Nama mahima,Krishna, Radha were rendered. Ashtapathis were also sung. Kalyana Ashtapathi was rendered followed by Sampradaya kirtans. Then flowers were showered on the divine couple while chanting the Radha Krishna nama. Yugala kirtans were rendered followed by Anjaneya Swami kirtans. Prarthana kirtans, with prayers to our Guru Maharaj to be ever in the shadow of His Lotus feet.
Around 40 blessed devotees eagerly participated in the wedding. The satsang concluded with Kaliyayum Bali Kollum kirtan and harathi.
