Meaning of the Kirtan:
Glories to the embodiment of grace,
who feeds the ‘Bhagavatha’ ambrosia whence freeing us from all fears…
Glories to him,
who with love and compassion, shows the path of singing the Lord’s names as the correct path for this age.
Glories to him,
the unequalled who forgets his very self while indulging in the service of Lord Krishna.
Glories to the emancipator of Dharma,
who establishes the company of the holy everywhere.
Let us all join Sri Muralidharan in paying obeisance to the Guru, the great devotee of Lord Pandarinatha.
Special Notes:
This song was composed by Sri Swamiji on a Guru Poornima Reading this wonderful song, many were eager to know who the Guru referred to in the song was.
Sri Swamiji’s reply was, ” The song was written on the Guru Poornima Day. Great saints like Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Sri Vallabhar, Nimbarkar, Harivamsar, Gnaneswarar have taken Srimad Bhagavatam as their very life-breath and had taken the path of Sri Krishna Kirtan as the purpose of their life. They had spent every moment of their life in the service of the Lord, whereby establishing a spiritual lineage, which is continuing to this day.
This song is for all such Mahatmas.
