Samskruti - Elocution 2017


















Samskruti is an annual Indian heritage festival conducted by Global Organization for Divinity. The festival gives kids and parents an opportunity to explore our deep traditional roots. All the competitions in Samskruti are conducted with this vision in mind.

While there are many debate and elocution competitions in the US and in India, what sets us apart is we inspire the students to reflect on India's vast heritage and culture.

The themes for this year are:


  1. Holy Cow - Cow is indeed another Mother
  2. Kashmir to Kanyakumari
  3. Art forms and its birth in India (Can choose up to 3 art forms)
  4. Sanskrit - The language that brings ancient wisdom to modern times.

Time: 2-5 pm

Spot Registration allowed until 1.30PM


Number of Rounds: 2

Round 1:

Participants can speak for 5 mins on any of the above themes.

Round 2: Participants will choose a topic by drawing a lot. They will be given 10 minutes to prepare and have to speak 2 minutes on the topic.

Reg fee $20. Early Bird discounted price $15 (Till Nov 4).  Extended to Nov 12 (Sunday)

  1. Rules will be decided by organizing committee. Decisions are final and cannot be disputed.
  2. Views expressed by participants in the competitions are their own and does not reflect the views of the organization
  3. Registration fee is non-refundable.
  4. Rules are subject to change. In case rules change, participants will be notified
  5. Multi-event discount is available

Proceeds from registration fee will go towards supporting Dallas Namadwaar and projects in India like construction of rural medical centers, renovation and maintenance of ancient temples, construction and maintenance of Veda Patashalas and maintenance of Go-shalas (protection of cows)
