By the immense grace of Sri Swamiji, Seattle GOD Chapter conducted an Akanda Nama Sankirtan on Saturday, April 21st 2012 at the residence of Shri.Shankar and Mrs.Ramya Shankar. The Satsang started off in the morning by welcoming Sri Swamiji’s Holy Padukas with flowers, kumkum and chandan, followed by a rendition of Stutis on Lords Ganesha, Shiva and Goddess Saraswathi.
Namasankirtan started at 7:30 am and after some time, as more families joined the satsang, the whole place started to reverberate with divine names. Devotees from remote locations such as Dubai, Canada, Virginia, New York, Detroit, Houston, Bangalore, Trichy, and Chennai also participated through Skype and UStream.
The adults and kids made flower garlands and enthusiastically decorated the Puja deities during the Akanda Nama. All the devotees who took part in the satsang were able to experience the divine presence as they chanted the Mahamantra.
The twelve hour recital of Mahamantra was followed by a well-articulated pravachanam by Dr. Bhagyanathanji, highlighting the significance of the Mahamantra in the path towards the ultimate goal. Bhajans were then rendered by Bhavani, Aparna and Advaith.
Madhurageetham CD and prasad were distributed to all the devotees who took part in the satsang.
