Dallas Namadwaar
With the immense grace of Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Premika Varadan and our Sri Swamiji, Namadwaar Dallas was indeed blessed to celebrate Janmashtami in a splendid manner. The day was meticulously organized to welcome our Gokula Bala. The celebrations started with Mahamantra chanting. The devotees decorated the sanctum with Garlands, hand-printing HIS lotus feet all the way from the entrance to their hearts eagerly awaiting HIS arrival. Each devotee had poured their affection making HIS favorite sweets and savories, attractively displaying the sweets/savories and Butter to offer HIM, thinking when HE sneaks to grab the butter, they can just hug HIM warmly. VISHNU SAHASRANAAMAM was chanted next by all devotees. It was a complete bliss when Srimad Bhagavatham Dasamam ensued.

No celebrations are complete without hearing HIS Katha, singing HIS Glories. Of course, Dallas Namadwaar was certainly fortunate to hear the Krishna Jananam discourse by Smt. Hema Kalyanaraman ji on this auspicious day. Krishna Katha is a constant source of bliss, emanates a new blossom of thoughts, and enriches our joy every time we listen. In fact Sri M.K Ramanujam ji, in one of his discourses on Srimad Bhagavatham quoting various Mahatma’s commentaries, indeed pointed out a lovely correlation of ears(listening) to Space (Akaasha); which is infinite. Our ears can never be filled as it can take the madhuram relentlessly listening to HIS Katha. Insatiable!! Isn’t it?

GOD Dallas Devotees had fun participating in a quiz conducted by GOD Dallas children to test the devotees’ depth of understanding of various works of the LORD . It is yet another way to expand/ enhance our love, knowledge, and constantly contemplate more on HIS works and preaching.

Then came the Prime time!!

While the time was spent joyfully listening to Krishna’s glories, Vasudevar crossed river Yamuna and entered Gokulam to leave our Kannan with Nand-Baba. The devotees started chanting Mahamantra to welcome HIS arrival in Gokulam(Dallas Namadwaar). A beautiful cradle was arranged, which was draped with garlands and our lovely Kannan was placed on the smooth silky flower bed inside the cradle. He was looking mischievously while Gopas and Gopikas lit the lamps , enjoying HIS shining beauty, going around him singing HIS glories as “Kannan EngaL mannavan, sarva loka nAyagan”!!. A spiritually fulfilling day at GOD Dallas as HE entered into every loving heart shining brightly vanishing the darkness.

Around 16 families participated in the celebrations and few families participated via Zoom.

Prayers and immense gratitude to Our Sri Swamiji for bestowing us with more and more satsangs to enjoy and relish the sweetness of Bhagavata dharma.
