Special Ganesh Chaturthi Gopakuteeram session 2012 in Chicago

The Chicago GOD chapter had a wonderful beginning of Fall term of the Gopa Kuteeram session on Sunday, September 23rd ,2012 at the residence of Sri.Zivan and Mrs.Yamini. The theme for the session was Lord Ganesha. Gopakuteeram started with Mahamantra chanting. The kids then learnt a new bhajan, sloka and a story on the birth of Lord Ganesha and also hand crafted their own cute little umbrellas for their own little Ganesha. The kids performed pooja to their Ganesha by offering modhakas and singing the bhajan that they had learnt during the session. The kids really enjoyed the session and took part very enthusiastically . The session ended with harthi and recital of Mahamantra. Around six families with their children took part in the session.
