Gopa Kuteeram Kid’s Summer Camp by Pennsylvania GOD Satsang

Pennsylvania GOD Satsang organized the Indian heritage summer camp between July 15th and 19th, 2024. 6 children registered for the camp. The summer camp was themed on Sri Krishna Leelas, coinciding with the Janmashtami festival next month. The camp activities included Mahamantra chanting, learning Satvika Smaranam slokas, Divyanama with Madhura Gitam kirtans and the Mahamantra, story time, and activity for the day. These activities include making and decorating Sri Krishna’s feet, peacock feathers, flutes, butter pots painting and creating simhasans for Sri Krishna. The kids were also given a coloring book comprising of various Krishna Leelas, and the camp volunteers narrated those stories during the story time. At the start of the camp, the kids each planted a Tulsi plant and watered it every morning during the remainder of the camp chanting the Mahamantra. The kids also created their own hand puppets based on the materials provided by the organizers. The kids did a presentation of Krishna Jananam using these puppets to the parents and general audience on the final day. The kids enjoyed all the activities and were very excited to continue to be part of the GOD family through the Gopakuteeram program after the summer break.
