With Sri Swamiji’s grace, and the blessings of our Madhuri Saki sametha Premika Varada Takurji, we joyfully had a 5‑day Indian Heritage Summer Camp from July 20th to July 24th. We are delighted to share that more than 20 children participated wholeheartedly throughout the week.
The camp was thoughtfully curated to introduce our rich culture to the next generation in a carefully structured, engaging, and fun-filled manner. Parents dropped off the children at 8:45 AM, and the camp concluded each day at 5 PM.
Each morning began with Maha Mantra chanting and Sathvika Smaranam, setting a divine tone for the day. This was followed by a variety of cultural, creative, and value‑based activities.
One of the major highlights was the Mantra Meditation session, which became an instant favorite among the kids. Throughout the week, children also enjoyed:
Gratitude Tree — reflecting on thankfulness
Worli art and Lippon art — exploring traditional Indian crafts
Garland making and thoran crafting — learning simple devotional decorations
Music and instruments — introduction to rhythm and melody
Basics of Sanskrit — simple words and pronunciation
Yoga sessions — learning balance, breathing, and mindful movement
Intelligent Living concepts — understanding healthy habits, values, and thoughtful choices
Leadership skills — teamwork, responsibility, and confidence-building activities
Fun games and team activities
Learning a kirtan on Lord Vittala and dancing to a devotional track
Stories and learning about our parampara
The camp concluded on Friday with a beautiful offering: all the children came together to build a mandap for Vittal and Rukmayi, marking a perfect end to a week filled with devotion, learning, creativity, and cultural pride.
Ashada Ekadasi and Summer camp celebrations:
With Sri Swamiji’s grace and the divine blessings of our Madhuri Saki samedha Premika Varada Takurji, we joyfully celebrated Ashada Ekadasi along with the parents of our summer‑camp children. It was a truly delightful and memorable evening for all of us.
The event began with Maha Mantra chanting, followed by uplifting Vittal songs that filled the atmosphere with devotion. The children then showcased the beautiful learnings from the summer camp — they confidently recited slokas, sang their songs, and performed their dance, bringing immense joy to everyone present.
All of the children’s artwork and projects were then displayed, just like a traditional exhibition. Parents walked through the displays with pride and appreciation, seeing the creativity and cultural learning their children had absorbed.
A parent review session followed, where we received abundant positive feedback about the camp. Many parents expressed their wish for the camp to be extended for another week, reflecting how meaningful and impactful the experience was for their children.
With Guruji’s grace, nearly 70 people participated and enjoyed the spiritually vibrant evening.
