Global Organization for Divinity (GOD) Bay Area Chapter was part of the Concord Spring Festival held on Apr 28, 2018. GOD had a booth and also was invited to be part of the interfaith council prayer held at the spring festival. Prayer by GOD included chanting Guru Vandanam, Kalaye Sundarakaram, premika Varadan dhyanam and the first few lines of Tvameva Gathir mama.
GOD members also performed the Madhurageetams at the festival and the rendition included both adults and children. Korean, Chinese American families participated in the musical instrument support.
The Madhurageetams sung included the 16 language Mahamantra anthem kirtan and Happy, peaceful free in English. The beacon of the Mahamantra and Madhurageetam were carried to the public and the message of Sri Swamiji and the objectives of GOD were delivered through these kirtan. All the participants were honored with a trophy and certificate by the Concord festival committee Democrat Dr.Harmesh Kumar. Global Organization For Divinity has been invited by the Contracosta interfaith council to represent Hinduism in the county.
