Guru Poornima was celebrated in Redding CA in a grand manner in the presence of Sri Sri Swamiji’s holy Padukas.
Devotees from bay area, California and Chico came to Sri Sriramji’s residence where the Akhanda Nama Sankirtan was scheduled for the Guru Poornima day.
On 25 July 2010, at 4.30am, Gajendra Stuti was read followed by Prabhodhanam and at sharp 5am, Akanda Hare Rama Mahamantra chant was started and went on until 5pm. The Holy Padukas were decorated with beautiful garlands from flowers and Elaichi. Pooja for Sri Padhuka was done by Ramaswamyji and Mukundji.
Kids also joined in the chant off and on. Akanda Nama chant ended with ‘Kaliyayum Bali kollum’ song.
After this, Madhurasmaranam by Sri Bhagyanathanji in DVD was played, in which the glory of the Sadguru and the greatness of Vyasa Poornima was beautifully explained, along with incidents from the divine life of our Sadguru Maharaj.
