Special Mahila Panchageetham Parayanam and Divyanama at Namadwaar Atlanta

Atlanta Namadwaar hosted Panchageetham Prayanam and Divyanamam by ladies on April 26th. By Sri Swamiji’s grace, the announcement made earlier in the year was met with many enthusiastic responses. Many participants were new to Bhagavatam and expressed a keen interest in learning and participating. Weekly virtual learning sessions, led by Satsang devotees Smt Shobhaji, Smt Jeyaji, Smt Soumyaji and Smt Tejaji commenced on February 10th. Close to 45 participants took advantage of this wonderful and convenient opportunity to learn and practice.

On April 26th, months of perseverance and hard work came to fruition at Namadwaar in the presence of the divine couple and Sri Swamiji. The divine couple, dressed in colorful attire, fine jewelry, and garlands made with lotus and colorful flowers exuded radiance, it was truly a sight to behold.

The program commenced at 5 PM with an offering of Mahamantra, followed by Divyanamam. The Atlanta Namadwaar youth team / Bhajana Mandali captivated everyone with their melodious and captivating renditions of Madhurageethams, glorifying the divine couple. Their melodious singing inspired the ladies and girls to dance with enthusiasm and zeal, further enhancing the vibrant atmosphere.

This unique offering not only drew Bhaktas from Atlanta, but also from Charleston, Chicago and Edmonton, Canada. After Divyanamam, all 120 participants and children were given special shawls from Vrindavan, a gift that will be cherished and deeply treasured. Before the commencement of the Parayanam, Smt. Jeya Kishore ji spoke about the significance of Bhagavatam, the joy of surrendering to Bhagavan, and the delight of experiencing the sweetness of His leelas. She enriched her talk with anecdotes, stories, and compositions of Mahans, beautifully illustrating the greatness of love and surrender to God, setting the tone and stage for the Parayanam. Panchageetham Parayanam commenced a little after 6pm with vEnu gItham, followed by pranaya gItham, gOpika gItham, Yugala gItham, bramara gItham. After each offering, Jeya ji immersed everyone in Vrindavan as she vividly described the divine pastimes of Lord Krishna, emphasizing the deep devotion and love of the gopis for Him. The heartfelt narration was nothing short of magical, leaving a lasting impression on everyone. The parayanam at Namadwaar pulsated with vibrant energy, reflecting the unity of numerous voices blending into one harmonious sound. The enthusiasm and vibrance were a testament to the devotion and love of the participants who dedicated themselves to making this event a grand success. The celebration concluded with Nama, Harathi and Dolotsavam.
No celebration is complete without food. Close to 190 guests attended the program. All participants and families were treated with a grand dinner prasad. The Satsang men managed the kitchen with great efficiency, ensuring that everyone was well-fed and taken care of.
By Sri Swamiji’s immense grace, the program was a grand success. Participants have expressed interest in learning and participating in more such opportunities. Programs like these bring more and more bhaktas together and unite them as one big family in the service of Bhagavan. “Govindanukku Aatpatta Kudumbamamma Engal Kudumbam”
