Nama and Parayanam – The Heart of Madhura Utsavam
By the immense grace of Sri Swamiji and Sri Premikavaradha Takurji, Nama and Parayanam remained at the heart of the ten-day Madhura Utsavam at Atlanta Namadwaar. Across multiple days of the Utsavam, Bhaktas gathered in Mahamantra chanting and Parayanam, coming together in prayer, and Kainkaryam.
The Utsavam itself began with a humble and heartfelt offering of prayer. On Day 1, Bhaktas gathered at Atlanta Namadwaar for a one-hour Mahamantra Mass Prayer dedicated to all those affected by the devastating flash floods in Nepal and their families. With compassion in their hearts, the assembled Bhaktas prayed for strength, courage, solace and wellbeing for those facing the aftermath of the tragedy.
The Mahamantra chanting, held from 7:00 to 8:00 PM, was led by the youth of Atlanta Namadwaar. Their enthusiastic and heartfelt chanting filled Namadwaar with the vibrant energy of Nama, as men, women, youth and children joined their voices together in collective prayer.
Beginning Madhura Utsavam in this spirit made the opening especially meaningful. With hearts united in compassion and devotion, the prayers of the Bhaktas were offered at the lotus feet of Sri Swamiji and Sri Premikavaradha Takurji, while also seeking their blessings for the ten-day Madhura Utsavam to unfold beautifully and successfully.
As the Utsavam continued, Nama remained a constant thread through Days 4, 5 and 6. Bhaktas continued to gather at Atlanta Namadwaar and immerse themselves in the Mahamantra, with the vibrant chant resonating throughout Namadwaar and drawing everyone together in gratitude.
Alongside the chanting, these gatherings also became a beautiful expression of Kainkaryam. With the Grand Radhakalyanam approaching, Bhaktas came together to work on the many preparations needed for the celebration. Alongside the chanting, these gatherings also became a beautiful expression of Kainkaryam. With the Grand Radhakalyanam approaching, Bhaktas came together to work on the many preparations needed for the celebration. Many hands quietly took up different tasks, each contributing wherever help was needed, with every preparation, big or small, becoming a loving Kainkaryam at the lotus feet of Sri Swamiji and an opportunity to experience the joy of serving him.
On Day 7, the offering of Nama was beautifully complemented by Panchageetham Parayanam by the ladies. Their collective Parayanam added another devotional dimension to the evening, making it a fitting culmination to these days centered around Nama.
Across these days, there was something especially beautiful in the simplicity of the offering—Bhaktas gathering together, voices joining in the Mahamantra, and Nama continuing to resonate through Atlanta Namadwaar. From the heartfelt prayer with which Madhura Utsavam began to the Panchageetham Parayanam on Day 7, Nama remained the unifying thread, bringing everyone together in prayer, devotion and Kainkaryam.
After the grandeur and joy of Sri Krishna Janmashtami and the Grand Radhakalyanam, Bhaktas returned to Atlanta Namadwaar on Day 10 for a fitting conclusion to the ten-day Madhura Utsavam. With hearts filled with gratitude, they took turns in the Dasama Skandha Parayanam, beginning with Chapter 10.1 and continuing through Chapter 10.54, bringing the Utsavam to a peaceful and meaningful close with the divine leelas of Sri Krishna resonating through Namadwaar.
For those living far from home and extended family, the opportunity to come together for celebrations such as these is especially precious. By Sri Swamiji’s immense grace, Atlanta Namadwaar has truly become a home away from home, where his children come together as one family to celebrate, serve and share in the joy of Nama and Kainkaryam. With immense gratitude for this blessed opportunity, the entire ten-day Madhura Utsavam was lovingly offered at the lotus feet of Sri Swamiji and Sri Premikavaradha Takurji.

The celebration then took on a vibrant and joyous energy as the Aradhakas and Bhagavathas lovingly carried and swayed Sri Takurji, while the gathered Bhaktas joined in the festivities.
A particularly memorable moment came during Magudi. Kum. Beginning with Mahamantra
The Grand Radhakalyanam began with a soulful offering of the Mahamantra, setting a beautiful and devotional tone for the divine celebration that followed.
Close to 50 Families Perform Radhakalyanam
One of the most beautiful aspects of the celebration was the opportunity for families to personally participate in the Kalyanam. Close to 50 families registered to perform their individual Radhakalyanam.
The arrangements for the participating families were thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed. Each family was provided with a designated station and seating arrangement, complete with all the necessary items required to perform the Radhakalyanam, thoughtfully placed and ready for them.
With every detail taken care of in advance, the participating families could focus completely and solely on the Kalyanam, free from the stress of logistics or other arrangements, allowing them to immerse themselves fully in the joy and divinity of the celebration.
As the Kalyanam unfolded, the Atlanta Namadwaar Bhajana Mandali, as always, added vibrancy and Bhava to the celebration through their soulful renditions of Ashtapadis, Bhajans, Madhurageethams and Namavalis, beautifully accompanying the various stages of the divine Kalyanam. Their melodious offerings were further enhanced by the excellent sound arrangements thoughtfully set up and managed by the devotees at the venue, allowing the music and Nama to resonate beautifully throughout the hall.

More than an event to witness, it became a celebration in which everyone could participate—men, women, youth and children, each finding their own way to contribute and experience the joy of Kainkaryam. It was especially heartwarming to see even the youngest hands eagerly pitching in with the arrangements, serving with the same enthusiasm and willingness as the adults.
