Date: Sep.20 2007
Time: 7pm – 8:30pm
Topic: Krishna Leela
Venue: Residence of Mrs. Boomisudha at Shrewsbury, MA
Pravachana Karta: Sri Ramanujam Mukundagiri

The speach started with the chanting of Mahamantra and a few slokams. The significance of Lord Krishna’s birth was explained in detail followed by Krishna’s Leelas starting from the birth of Lord Krishna, Puthana Moksham, Sakatasura vadham, Kaliya narthanam etc.

The listeners could not resist laughing when they listened to the humorous anecdotes of Krishna, grouping with friends and stealing butter from the house of the Gopis. Ramanujam ji’s explanation on significance of stealing butter and the analogy of butter and human mind was excellent.

His explanations were studded with quotes from Thirupaavai and various other epics including Srimad Bhagavatam and the work of other Azhwars. The list of Krishna Leelas ended with explanation Govardhana Udharanam and its significance. Every single Leela of Lord Krishna stressed on Bhakti and Namakirtan.

The satsang concluded with the chanting of Mahamantra. The children enjoyed every bit of Krishna’s Leelas and the devotees dispersed with the hope of having such satsangs more often in the future.
