Nama Ruchi:
By Sri Swamiji’s immense grace and blessings, Atlanta Namadwaar devotees have been able to take Nama to more and more homes. Our satsang bhagavatha Smt Shobha Parsuji hosted a Nama Ruchi at her residence with a special request to have Vittal songs along with Nama. Our Atlanta Namadwaar youth Bhagavathas Anirudh Narayanan and Radharani Narayanan presented an enthralling Madhuragitam concert with explanation of the greatness of the songs. The program started with an abhang celebrating all bhakthas “Hari Bhaktha Santa” song followed by “Dhanya Dhanya” song. The specialty of Pandarpur is the Nama bazaar, where bhakthas give and receive Nama. The “Nama cha bazaar” song aptly describes the bazaar scene of Pandarpur, emphasizing the prevalence of Nama “Mukhi mandahasa madhey makuta shobhey” highlights how beautiful the ruling king Panduranga is. When the Kshetram is so beautiful, imagine how the king will be. The next song “Namadev Kirtan Kari prema” by Janabai explains how much Panduranga is happy that he doesn’t realize his feather falling off too. The kids explained the importance of Guru’s grace to attain the lord and sang “Guru Dhyayi”. Followed by two more abhangs “ Amrita uni goda Nama thuje deva” and “Sanka chakra dhara vyjayanthi Dara” Finally, SriG’s love for pandurangan depicted in Madhuragitam “Jay Jay Vittala Hari” was song and the program concluded with “Kaliyayum Bali kollum” song. This program was a prelude to upcoming Ashada month.
