Sri Sri Swamiji’s Jayanthi Celebrations in Aurora, IL
By the divine grace of the Lord and Sri Sri Swamiji, the Akanda Nama Sankirtan took place successfully in Aurora, IL. It was a long pending wish of Prakashs that came true on the Guru Jayanthi Day – Nov 8th 2008 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The Namakirtan was planned to kick off with just 3 people. The weather forecast showed that there would be freezing showers on the 8th Nov. The Prakashs were worried about how just the 3 of them were going to chant for 5 hours. Just as an answer to their worry, a new satsang member called up the family seeking concurrence to join them for Namakirtan the next day. This new satsang member showed up sharp at 10am on Nov 8th and chanted Nama for nearly 3 hours. He also made his presence for the weekly satsang on Thursday (Nov 13 2008).
The Zevan Pakashs were pleasantly surprised. Smt Yaminiji says in wonder, “Should we call this a – Nama Anubhava ?”
Apart from the new satsang member, two other families joined the Namakirtan and get the blessing of Sri Sri Swamiji. Prasad was distributed at the end of the satsang.
