Begging for Our Sins

A close aide of Swami Gnanananda Giri once asked him, “Swamiji, why are you taking the sins and sufferings of devotees and giving them punya (merits) in return?” With a smile, Swamiji answered, “We often see in streets men who come door to door to collect waste paper, bottles and other trash from each house, don’t we? News of the month

His Holiness Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji’s Jayanti was celebrated in a grand manner across different cities in the United States on the 6th of November, 2010. Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Seattle, and SFO Bay Area satsangs celebrated it. Nov 14th marked Gopashtami, a day of celebration for the Gopas. The Gopa Kuteeram centers in Boston, Chicago, Dallas and Houston Namadwaar each celebrated this event in different and colorful manner.


Upcoming Events

  • Seattle GOD Satsang conducts “Sampradaya: Indian Heritage Camp—Winter 2010” in the Seattle area from Dec 20-24, 2010.
  • Dallas GOD Satsang will host a 3-day satsang program from Dec 24-26, 2010 that will include Srimad Bhagavatam parayanam, bhajans, Nama sankirtan and discourses.
  • NAMA SAPTAHA UTSAV (the 3rd Annual G.O.D. USA Utsav) will be held at the Houston Namadwaar (3642 Bailey Ave, Manvel, TX 77578) from Dec 27, 2010 to Jan 2, 2011. Events include Srimad Bhagavatam Parayanam, Mahamantra Sankirtan, Discourses, Divya Nama sankirtan, Gopa Kuteeram children’s programs, a special New Year’s eve satsang, and more.
