Swami Vivekananda – A Testimony to the Power of the Divine Name

Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was a great avatara purusha, who came at a time when India was passing through a phase of decadence. Sri Ramakrishna demonstrated beyond doubt to the world, the reality of God and the validity of the time-honored teachings of our
Vedas. He restored the falling edifice of religion on a secure foundation through his primary disciple and messenger Swami Vivekananda. In truth, they were like one soul in two bodies. The Master and the disciple were hardly two distinct individuals. January 12 marks the jayanti of Swami Vivekananda, and this is also celebrated as National Youth Day.

News of the month

Dallas GOD Satsang celebrated the Annual GOD Utsav in Dallas with the 10th canto of Srimad Bhagavatam between 24-26 December 2010.  Click here for a detailed report.

In Houston, a grand Nama Saptaha Utsav was performed between Dec 27 2010 and January 3, 2011.  Ranging from a variety of activities like 6 hours of Nama Sankirtan, Bhagavata Parayanam, Bhagavata Pravachanam,  Vana Bhojanam and New Year special celebrations, the 7-day Utsav was a wonderful week to cherish.  Click here to read the entire report.

Sampradaya Winter Camp 2010 was a grand success in Seattle.  Organized by the Seattle GOD satsang twice a year (once in Summer and once in Winter), this camp provides children exposure to various aspects of Sanatana Dharma in a fun, innovative and hands-on manner.

The December Gopa Kuteeram was conducted in Chicago.
