Sri Poornimaji visited Seattle and conducted a three-day program on 3/8, 3/9 and 3/10 at the Seattle Namadwaar. The three days of utsavam was led by Sri Poornimaji. It was blissful, filled with bhajans from Madhurageethams, Nama chanting, Bhagavatha Parayanam and Pravachan on Pandarpur Bhaktas by Sri Poornimaji.
Friday we did pravesham of our Guru Maharaj Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji and our beloved Madhuri sakhi sametha Premika Varadhan Thakurji into the Seattle Namadwaar. This was later followed by Madhurageetham renditions and beautiful day one Pravachan by Sri Poornimaji. She filled everyone’s hearts with the beautiful nature of Bhagavan and how He is bound to those who follow dharma, guru vakhya and pitru vakya.
Saturday morning started with Govinda Pattabhishekam Bhagavatha Prayanam interlaced with Madhurageetams. A beautiful Krishna lifting Govardhana parvatha was made out of rice and other eatables. Like the Gopas and Gopis in Bhagavatham, everyone did a pradikshana to the Rice Krishna, Madhuri sakhi sametha Sri Premika Varadhan Thakurji and Govardhana mountain. Everyone enjoyed the festivities, especially the children who were very eager to eat all the bhakshanams.
Saturday evening started with Hari fair by Gopa Kuteeram children, where the children showcased the stories of various Pandarpur bhaktas, how through their stories we can clearly see that these Bhaktas were able to experience and show “miracles” which various branches of science are still trying prove. One such example is the story of Janabai and her cow dung patties that were reverberating nama, essentially Janabai was able to change the frequency at which the particles vibrated in the cow dung patties just because she vibrated with nama. That evening Sri Poornimaji drenched us in the divine nectar of Banudasa story and the beginnings of Namadeva story. All went home reminiscing how faith and love are enough to bring Bhagavan to you.
Sunday evening celebrations started with a beautiful Madhurageetham concert in the Namadwaar. This was followed with the final day Pravachan by Sri Poornimaji who showered us with more wonderful stories of Namadeva Maharaj. The pravachan was followed by Jaganatha and Hanuman Pravesham into Namadwaar. Given this was the final day of the utsavam, everyone was craving for more pravachans and more utsavams. We all sincerely thank Sri Poornimaji for the wonderful utsavam she led and pray to Sri Guruji to bless us with more such events.
