Feb 2011 Akhanda Nama in Houston Namadwaar

A 12-hour Akhanda Mahamantra sankirtan session is conducted in Houston Namadwaar at least once every month. By the grace of our Guru Maharaj, the occasion in February 2011 arose on the 19th during the visit of Sri Ramaswamy from California. Mahamantra was chanted enthusiastically in the Namadwaar that Saturday from 7 AM to 7 PM. Several satsang families participated in the chanting. After the Nama sankirtan, Kaliyaiyum bali kollum kirtan of Sri Swamiji was sung, followed by Arati. Following this, Ramaswamyji gave a wonderful talk on the greatness of the Guru, interspersed with his own experiences with our Guru Maharaj. The talk emphasized how the Guru is the very embodiment of compassion and how he reaches out to every single devotee on a very personal level. Ramaswamyji also spoke of the charitram of Sri Narada, the Guru of Dhruva, Prahlada and of all who follow the path of bhakti, as given in Srimad Bhagavatam.
