Panchageetham Parayanam and Mahila Divyanamam at Namadwaar Atlanta

By the immense grace of Sri Swamiji and Sri Madhurisakhi Sametha Sri Premikavaradha Takurji, Atlanta Namadwaar hosted Panchageetham Parayanam and Mahila Divyanamam on March 7th, coinciding with the eve of International Women’s Day.

The evening began at 5:00 PM with an hour of soulful Divyanamam, setting a deeply devotional tone for the program. This was followed by the sacred chanting of the Panchageetham from the Srimad Bhagavatham, whose verses are deeply rooted in the divine pastimes of Lord Krishna in Vrindavan, lovingly sung by the Gopis in adoration of Him. The harmonious rendition by the women devotees filled Namadwaar with spiritual vibrations, transporting everyone into Vrindhavan.

Enhancing this experience, the altar was beautifully decorated to reflect the serene and divine atmosphere of Vrindavan, Ashtasakhis gracefully surrounded our divine couple Sri Radha Rani and Takurji. The thoughtfully designed backdrop evoked the tranquility and sacred charm of Vrindavan’s forest groves, allowing devotees to feel immersed in Krishna’s leelas as described in the Panchageetham.

Adding depth and reflection to the evening, Smt. Jeya Kishore ji shared a moving and insightful explanation of the significance of the Gopika Geetham. She beautifully described how the Gopikas spent every moment immersed in thoughts of Lord Krishna, constantly reliving the divine moments they shared with Him in Vrindavan. Her narration brought to life the Gopikas’ unwavering mindfulness of Krishna—where remembrance itself became devotion—highlighting the purity, intensity, and selfless nature of their love.

Dressed in various shades of pink, the ladies danced blissfully during the Divyanamam, expressing joy, devotion, and gratitude. The spiritual proceedings concluded at 7:00 PM with Dolotsavam and Harathi, bringing the satsang to a graceful and fulfilling close.

As a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, the men of the satsang lovingly prepared and served a delicious dinner, honoring the women for their tireless dedication and selfless service. The evening stood as a beautiful confluence of devotion, celebration, gratitude, and community spirit.
