Ramayana Odyssey: Summer Camp for kids aged 5-14, June 3rd 2024-June 7th 2024, Atlanta Namadwaar

With kids being out of school for summer, Atlanta Namadwaar conducted a summer camp themed “Ramayana Odyssey” for kids between ages 5 and 14. The camp was conducted June 3rd 2024-June 7th 2024, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. Around 30 kids registered for the camp.

The kids were divided into two groups. Each day began with kids participating in Prabhodhanam, followed by Yoga. Morning sessions were filled with learning Ramayana in a fun way. While little kids heard stories, the older ones learnt about various kandams in Ramayana. Snacks and Lunch adhering to Satvik standards were provided by Namadwaar. All kids were taught life lessons around Rama gunas. In the afternoons, various bhajans and songs were taught. Life skills activities such as kolam, thoran making and cooking was also included. Kids enjoyed learning Divyanamam steps. All kids chanted Mahamantra throughout the day during their various activities, including games. The camp concluded on Friday with the kids presenting their new knowledge to the parents.
The camp was a success with overwhelming positive feedback from Parents. Youth Volunteers of Atlanta Namadwaar played a major role in this camp assisting the adult volunteers.
