By the immense grace of Sri Premikavaradha Takurji and Sri Swamiji, devotees in Atlanta were blessed with a golden opportunity to hear Katha from Sri Gadadharan ji at Atlanta Namadwaar from April 17th – April 19th.
On April 17th, the first day of the celebration began with Parayanam of Sri Rama Jananam.
Chapters 15- 18 from Balakandam were offered for the pleasure of Sri Rama, Sri Takurji and Sri Swamiji.
Ch 15- Ashwamedha Yaga conducted by Rishyasringa for the sake of Dasaratha for begetting progeny.
Ch 16 – Receiving Divine Payasam and its distribution among the queens.
Ch 17 – Birth of Vanaras who are going to perform Divine seva to Lord Sri Rama.
Ch 18 – Advent of Lord Rama, Bharata, Lakshmana, and Shatrughna
After the Parayanam, Sri Madhurageetham and bhajans glorifying Sri Rama were offered by the devotees.
On day 2, Sri Gadadharan ji treated everybody with various stories and anecdotes on Guru Mahima. He spoke in length about the characteristics of a Uthama Guru.
This was followed by Katha on Prahlada Charithram on day 3. Sri Gadadharan ji’s beautiful story telling abilities kept everyone engaged. He presented many intricate details of various characters in the Kathas. On both days, Sri Gadadharan ji quoted various Mahans and beautifully presented their stories and life lessons. These life lessons were appealing to both adults and kids and easy to put to practice in our day to day lives today.
Many devotees were blessed with the divine experience of Katha Shravanam. All 3 days the program started with Nama chanting and concluded with Harathi and Dolotsavam. Dinner prasadham was served to all devotees who attended the program.
