Part 2 of the Report of 60 Days of Satsangs for Sri Swamiji’s 60th Thirunakshatram
Srimad Valmiki Ramayana Parayanam
As a continuation of the North America-wide grand festivities to celebrate our Guru Maharaj’s 60th Jayanthi Mahotsav, Srimad Valmiki Ramayana Parayanam was held from Thursday, September 16th through Friday, September 24th of 2021. This was the second in the line up of various events, following the Nama Sapthaham. Parayanam was done by our GOD Satsang members across the continent based on the grouping every day. Parayanam teams were named to align with the relevant region referenced in that day – Mythila, Shringaberapura, Chithrakoota, Panchavati, Kishkintha, Anjanachal, Dhanushkoti, Lanka and Ayodhya. Daily parayanam started off with dhyana shloka and concluded with the Ramayana Aarthi.
Madhura Geethams relevant to the Kaanda/Sarga of the parayanam were also rendered by GOD North America members.
Guru Maharaj’s grace and Sri Seetha, Lakshmana, Bharatha, Shatrugna Hanumath samedha Sri Ramachandra Prabhu’s blessings made the event a roaring success with about 206 Bhagavathas participating in the Navaham proceedings. The 9-day long event concluded with the 12th chapter of Bhagavad Gita – Bhakthi Yoga parayanam, Madhura Geethams, Mangalam and Ramayana Aarthi.
Srimad Bhagavata Nakshatra Parayanam
Nakshatra (Swathi to Swathi) parayana of 18000 slokas of Srimad Bhagavatam was conducted from Oct 9 to Nov 4 where over 300+ devotees took part in the recitation.
Sampoorna Sri Madhurageetham Sangeetha Mahayagnya
By the immense grace of Sri Swamiji and the divine couple Sri Madhuri Sametha Sri Premika Varadan, Sampoorna Sri Madhurgeetham Sangeetha Mahayagnyam was conducted from September 25 through October 1 2021. The Mahayagnya was held as part of Sri Swamiji’s 60day Jayanthi celebrations. Devotees from all across North America (USA and Canada) rendered close to 800 Madhurageethams as part of the nationwide zoom satsangs and also in their local satsangs. Close to 240 devotees took part in this yagnya from 23 cities.
Madhurageetham Nrithyotsav
As part of HH Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji’s 60th Thirunakshatra Mahotsavam GOD North America celebrated Madhrageetham Nrithyotsav for seven days from Oct 2nd to Oct 8th.
For bhakti, singing and dancing are important aids. “vishNOr gAnancha nrityancha naTanancha visEshatah” – Bhakti shastras say that singing, dancing and abhinaya are special to Govinda who is Vishnu. (From Madhura Murali, Oct 2020)
Following the Sampoorna Madhurageetham offering, around 50 dancers across North America and Canada offered their Nrithyam based on Sri Madhurgeetham. Following the Nrithya, there was a special broadcast of Radhe.. Radhe.. – A Story of Love for the Supreme – a full-fledged Bharatanatyam dance ballet depicting the story of Sri Radha Devi based on Sri Madhurageetham compositions.
All of these dancers were energetic and captured the essence of their respective Sri Madhurageetham through their facial expressions and graceful movements and conveyed to the audience the meaning of the Sri Madhurageetham.
It was a visual treat for the viewers to see the dancers and the dancers too felt blessed to make this offering to Sri SwamiJi.
Narayaneeyam Parayanam
By the divine grace of Sri Guruvayoorappan and the causeless mercy of Sri Swamiji, the 60 day Sri Guruji Jayanthi celebrations culminated with reverberating Narayaneeyam conducted on November 5th to 7th 2021.
SrimanNarayaneeyam is a divine composition described as the condensed form of Srimad Bhagavatam, composed by Melpathur Sri Narayana Bhattadri.
Sri Guruvayoorappan enthralled everyone and asserted each divine Leela with His divine smile, as over 280 devotees, ages 10 to 80+, across India, United States and Canada came together in the virtual world in chanting this nectarine.
1034 verses, spread across 100 chapters of SrimanNarayaneeyam were recited over two days. Day 3 was filled with the re-recitation of Krishna Leelas, as if to quench the divine yearning of the devotees with even more nectar.
Chanting of the SrimanNarayaneeyam showers blessings and grace to the entire universe, Vishwapeedhapahatyai.
