By the Divine Grace of His Holiness Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji and Thakurji, Sri Madhuri Sakhi sameta Sri Premika Varada Thakurji, GOD Houston celebrated Rasa Purnima and Tulasi Kalyanam on the weekend of Nov 15/16 2024 with grand fervor.
The Divine Couple decorated a divinely beautiful nikunjam for Rasa Purnima and the Krishna’s Cottage and Bala Krishna’s Cottage yunas sang Yugala kirtans. Later there was a procession of the divine couple outdoors as well under the real full moon’s graceful cover! Sri Gadhadharan ji spoke on the greatness of Rasa Leela and especially Pranaya geetham which beautifully describes the fortune of the Gopis, and the prema that Bhagavan showered on them. About 50 devotees participated in Rasa Purnima festival on Fri, Nov 15.
On Saturday, Nov 16th, the students learning Bhagavad Gita from our Houston GOD satsang, recited the parayanam of Chapters 1 and 2 in front of Sri Aishwarya Srinivasa Perumal. The event was followed by Tulasi Kalyanam with Sampradaya Bhajans including kirtans on Tulasi Devi and Ashtapati. About 60 devotees joined on this auspicious event and received blessings of Bhagavan.
