Sri Radhashtami Celebrations across the US

Radhashtami was celebrated in Padhuka Dham Boston on September 3rd, Saturday from 5pm to 10pm with around 20+ bhagavathas from Boston satsang and Muscat satsang.

The celebration started with Mahamantra chanting followed by Katha (hari katha) with madhuragithams, out sweet little Radha devi was born and bhagavathas enjoyed around her by dancing and singing with dandiya sticks.

The divine couple started on a procession on roads and played with sweet songs ( madhuragithams)

Bhagvathas read Rasa Panchadyadhi from bhagavatham followed by Radha kalyanam and Dolotsavam.

Radha devi enjoyed her birthday with more than 10 different types of milk sweets and special dishes for her special dinner.

By the immense grace of His Holiness Sri Sri Muralidhara SwamiJi and the infinite mercy of Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Sri Premika Varadha TakurJi, Namadwaar Virginia is blessed to celebrate Radhashtami, the birth of Sri Radha Devi on Saturday, September 3rd at Namadwaar Virginia, Nava Vrindavan.

Satsang started with Mahamantra Kirtan, kirtans on Guru, Lord Krishna, Radha nama mahima, divine birth of Radha devi. Beutifully decorated baby Radha was kept in a manjanam and devotees had a blissful darshan and satsang. Satsang concluded with Kaliyayum Bali Kollum, Mahamantra kirtan, mangalan and Arti.

Sep 4th – Radhashtami and 50th Radhakalyanam at Atlanta Namadwaar
As a prelude to the grand Radhashtami celebration, a melodious offering of 100 Madhurageethams on the glories of Sri Radhai was offered at Atlanta Namadwaar. This offering was made daily by Bhakthas in person at Namadwaar from Aug 21st to Aug 30th. The 10-day program saw great participation by Satsang adults and kids. Radhashtami comes 15 days after Janmashtami, a day to glorify Sri Radha Rani and seek her blessings. Like all other placed across the world, this day was celebrated at a grand scale at Atlanta Namadwaar. By the immense grace of Sri Swamiji, on this auspicious day Atlanta Namadwaar celebrated its 50th Radhakalyanam for our beloved Utsavar – Sri Madhurisakhi Sametha Sri Premika Vardha Takurji of Atlanta.
Radharani and Takurji were adorned with a new dress that was specially designed by artisans in Vrindhavan. The handmade dress was embellished with pearls and glittering stones. Radharani and Takurji looked magnificent adorned with beautiful jewelry, fragrant garlands and their alluring dress. Namadwaar was decorated in white and pink balloons and lights adding more glitter to the celebration.

Kanya pooja was performed to a group of little Gopikas between 3 to 12 years of age. The Gopikas arrived dressed in their traditional best. The girls were delighted to receive goody bags which included items like Haldi, Kumkum, bangles, bindhi packets, mehendi cones etc.
Grand 50th Radhakalyanam was performed with Sampradhya Bhajans, Madhurageetham, sacred chants and dance. Young budding dancers Sow. Shreya Sharath and Sow. Ramya Sharath made their offering in form of dance for the Madhurageetham “Prema Swaroopa”. The ladies of Atlanta Namadwaar offered a beautifully choreographed dance to the song “Radha Ke Sang”

Around 200 people gathered at Namadwaar to offer their prayers and gratitude to Takurji and seek Sri Radharani blessings to bestow upon them Bhakthi and more opportunities to serve the divine couple and the Holy Feet of Sri Swamiji.

Namadwaar, Houston Tx:
One week after Janmshtami, around 150 devotees returned to celebrate the descent of Radha Rani herself. Everyone celebrated this auspicious occasion with the singing of kirtans, dancing around her, and the special yearly Radha Pada Darshanam.

The Bhadrapada month (Purattasi) has just begun, and to celebrate this holy month in honor of Sri Aishwarya Srinivasa Perumal, special sastangs are being held each Saturday. The first Saturday, September 17th, was celebrated with a Sangeet Seva offered the students of Krishna Gana Sudha Music Academy.

The second Saturday, September 24th, was celebrated with the lighting of a Thinai Deepam, a special lamp made with jaggery and millet in which Bhagavan himself will enter at the end of the satsang. This special satsang was celebrated with the Krishna’s Cottage Bhajan group singing the praises of Sri Aishwarya Srinivasa Perumal, kolattam around the deepam, as well as a sangeet seva by another student of Krishna Sudha Music Academy. These wonderful satsangs will continue for the rest of the Bhadrapada month (Purattasi).
