Cherished Memoirs 29
A Mahatma’s Bhaavas
This series chronicles interesting experiences recounted by the devotees of HH Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji as well as certain divine experiences of Sri Swamiji himself. These articles are translations from the series “Madhuramaana Mahaneeyar” that is published every month in Madhuramurali Tamil monthly magazine in India, and are written by Dr. A. Bhagyanathan, personal secretary to Sri Swamiji.
The way bhaktas celebrate, decorate their Ishtta (favourite deity) in rapturous love is novel every time. It reflects the bhaava rasaas (devotional nectar) that arise in a gush in their hearts. The way Sri Swamiji celebrates and takes delight in Premika Varadan is also the same.

This month, we will be looking at Sri Swamiji’s ‘En Asaiagalai Ketpayo’, a beautiful kirtan in ‘Sahana’ raga, that shows us how to show our love to the Lord.

The deities just stood there, smiling at him. Disappointed, he walked out of the room.
He went to the garden………
