With the divine grace of the Lord, Janmashtami was celebrated in grandeur at Aurora, in the suburbs of Chicago on the 23rd of August.
The program started with Mahamantra chanting. The devotees sang bhajans, Krishna kirtans, chanted Mahamantra in between throughout the first session.
After lunch, the kids session started with Mahamanthra chanting. A challenge was presented to the kids that their real wishes will be fulfilled if they chant Mahamantra atleast 11 times in the morning and 11 times in the evening regularly. The children’s program also included a flute performance, songs and storytelling by kids.
Kids were each given a gift for their performance, photo of Madhurisaki Sameda Sri Premikavaradan when they were leaving. Maha mantra sticker and audio CD were given with thambulam.
Around 24 adults and 17 kids participated in the Satsang, of which 4 families participated in the satsang for the first time.
