By the grace of Sri Aishwarya Srinivasa Perumal, the 14th edition of the Samarpana series was organized at the temple on May 2nd 2026. This installment paid homage to the Trinity of Carnatic Music, featuring the timeless compositions of Saint Tyagaraja, Muthuswami Dikshitar, and Syama Sastri.
The theme was presented through a wonderful violin solo concert by Houston’s upcoming young professional musicians Abhishek Balakrishnan and Karun Salvady (mridangam). They presented several rare as well as popular kritis combining lilting upbeat compositions intertwined with songs in mellifluous and soothing ragams. The majestic Sri Venkatagirisham in Surutti by Dikshitar was the main, as an apt offering to Sri Aishwarya Srinivasa Perumal. The violin and mridangam complemented each other beautifully including in the manodharmam.
About 50 enjoyed the lovely musical offering.
