Kanakamma – The Great Guru Bhakta

Kanakamma was an ardent devotee of Sri Ramana Maharishi and attained the highest state simply through Guru Bhakti. At a young age, Kanakamma, who was born in an affluent family with servants to carry out every bidding, moved to Tiruvannamalai and lived alone in a small one-room home, cooking for herself in a firewood oven, for the sole reason to be near her beloved Guru.

Ammalu Ammal

Panguni Uthiram is said to be the auspicious day when Gowri married Lord Shiva, Sita married Lord Rama, Andal married Lord Ranganatha and became one with him. It is also the day, when   Sri Ammalu Ammal, a great devotee who spent her entire life devoted to Lord Krishna, became one with Him!

Panguni Uthiram was on April 9 this year. Let us reminisce and pay our respects to the great devotee.

 Sri Swamiji’s Recent Visit to Cuddalore

This series chronicles interesting experiences recounted by the devotees of HH Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji as well as certain divine experiences of Sri Swamiji himself. These articles are translations from the series “Madhuramaana Mahaneeyar” that is published every month in Madhuramurali Tamil monthly magazine in India.

Cuddalore is the birth town of Sri Swamiji. Recently, Sri Swamiji visited Cuddalore and conducted a Satsang there.

Madhura Geetam – Sloka Series: 4

Premika Varada Dashakam

pvmsIn this new series beginning this month, we will present, each month, divine verses and slokas of praise and prayer composed by His Holiness Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji, and their meaning.

Sri Swamiji’s puja murthi is Lord Krishna and Radha who have manifested as Lord Premika Varada and Madhurisakhi in Madhurapuri, Sri Swamiji’s Ashram near Chennai.

Premika Varada means the one who bestows prema – pure and unconditional love. Sri Swamiji has composed a beautiful set of 10 slokas on Lord Premika Varada.
